THE OPERA Lucia Di Lammermoor will be broadcast live from the Metropolitan Theatre in New York directly to the Eye Cinema this Saturday.
Lucia Di Lammermoor, one of Gaetano Donizetti’s most popular tragic dramas, loosely based on Sir Walter Scott’s The Bride of Lammermoor, was first staged to great success in 1835 in Naples.
The New York production will feature Natalie Dessay as an innocent young woman driven to madness and Joseph Calleja, who plays the part of her lover Edgardo.
