THE NEXT North Beach Poetry Nights’ Slam takes place on Monday in The Crane Bar at 9pm, and the guest poet will be Dave Rock.
Dave’s performing style is highly physical and expressive and often very joyous, combining slam pieces with traditional poetry. He is also a storyteller, working with traditional and his own invented folktales. His chapbook, A Single Unstruck Match, was published in 2008.
Poets wishing to enter the March Slam should have two three minute poems. The poem for the second round must be performed without a script.
