Volvo’s new V60 will be launched in the city this weekend, and local car dealership, Kenny Galway Ltd, and Volvo Car Ireland are inviting all motoring enthusiasts to avail of freeVolvo V60 sports wagon test drives.
The dealership launch weekend, which takes place over three days, tomorrow (Friday ), Saturday, and Sunday, will also include special launch offers and various entertainment.
Everyone who tests drives the V60 sports wagon during the weekend will be entered into a prize draw to spend a weekend at the Volvo Ice camp in Salzburg, Austria. The weekend includes skiing, igloo building, and picturesque starlight hike to celebrate the launch of the V60 sports wagon.
David Baddeley, managing director of Volvo Car Ireland, says the V60 is perfect for those who are looking for something a bit bigger, with extra space and flexibility, but without the slightest compromise on sporty design and exciting driving properties.
“It is ideal if you are always packing your car full of GAA balls, boots or tennis rackets or alternatively, the children for school,” he says.
The V60 contains the same groundbreaking technology as its coupe equivalent, the S60, including pedestrian safety technology and city safety driving features. Driver alert control, lane departure warning, blind spot information system and Xenon lights that follow the curve of the road are among the features.
The cutting technology that Volvo has pioneered will be able to detect a pedestrian in front of a Volvo and brake automatically even if the driver does not react in time.
