Public lecture on marriage

A public lecture on the influence of third parties in marriage will take place in the Christ Apostolic Church, Vineyard of Comfort, Unit 23, Riverside Industrial Estate this Saturday.

Pastor Timi Adebowale will deliver the lecture, entitled ‘Forsaking all others’, as part of the church’s seminars on Christian living.

“The phrase, ‘forsaking all others’, is part of a Christian marriage vow,” Pastor Adebowale said.

“There are many factors responsible for marriage breakdown today, but one of the most important is third party pressure and influences.

“ Too often marriages are damaged or completely broken due to outside influences. Ireland has a low divorce rate still, compared to other countries of Europe and US. This is essentially because of the people’s Christian faith, but still too many people are suffering needless rejection or separation or divorce.

“There are biblical prescriptions for Christian living, especially married couples. If only we all can go back to first principles, there will be less suffering.”

The lecture is open to all married people and those planning on getting married. For further details on the event contact (086 ) 3371814. Pastor Kola Oworu of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Bethel Parish is chairman of the event.
