The Den Crèche in Barna was one of 12 crèche providers in the country to receive the prestigious All Ireland Centre of Excellence award at a recent function in Dublin.
The award was presented by Minister Brendan Smith. The All Ireland Centre of Excellence programme is aimed at supporting and developing quality daycare services throughout Ireland.
Owner of the Den Crèche, Tara Cunningham, expressed her delight at winning the award: “We are delighted to have won such a prestigious award, one that is well merited in the context of the commitment put in by our team to reach such standards of excellence. Our focus is on providing our children with a home from home experience, a place where they can develop and enjoy. Through a cocktail of ongoing staff development, parental involvement and feedback, and a commitment to excellence, we are happy that we are meeting and exceeding our goals.”
