On Sunday next February 27 Hotel Meyrick will embrace its musical side with an afternoon jazz session by John Merrick and the Jazz Masters! The six-piece jazz band will make a regular appearance at the four-star hotel with a performance this and every Sunday from 12.30am – 2pm — perfect for those who fancy a Sunday lunch with a difference! A casual lunchtime menu is available during the jazz session with all the favourites including, soups, sandwiches, seafood, hot dishes and desserts.

Renowned for great jazz sessions, Hotel Meyrick has long been home to some of the greatest bands from the era who have performed and entertained guests in the hotel foyer from the 1940s right up to the 80s. With its classical surroundings and elegant décor, Hotel Meyrick is the perfect setting for this music genre and has previously been proud sponsor and host of the Galway Jazz Music Festival.

Fronted by the legendary John Merrick, who has been playing jazz music in Galway for the past 40 years, the Jazz Masters are a dynamic group made up of talented musicians Peter Tobin, Frankie Colohan, Eamonn O’Regan, Steve Hanks and Terry Cooke.

Hotel Meyrick welcomes music and jazz lovers alike to pull up a seat, relax and enjoy the fantastic talent that is on display.
