Biodegradable shower gel range from The Body Shop

Beauty Review

If like me you need all the tricks to wake up out of a zombie-like state in the mornings then this new shower gel range from The Body Shop, which is 100 per cent biodegradable, will help you regain your ‘get up and go’ feeling every time.

There are six refreshing fragrances in the range all priced at a very reasonable €8.50, so not only is it good for the body but also great for the purse. For the past two weeks I have been using the Watermelon & Eucalyptus fragrance shower gel which promises to give your skin some love and nourishment with the watermelon extract and by using rich vitamins A, B, and C. As soon as I opened the flip cap the refreshing scent hit my nose, a great start to sleepy mornings. Only a little squirt is needed on a shower sponge as it lathers up really well so there is no need for extra application of the gel. As I have quite sensitive skin I am always wary about products I use on my skin but this shower gel lives up to the promise of nourishment and being kind to the skin.

So with this product you can make a positive splash on the environment and start your day the earth lover’s way. Thanks to new Earth Lovers™ 100 per cent biodegradable shower gels, you can have a blast in the shower with silky soft, soap-free, non-drying formulas that are gentle on your skin and the planet. The shower gels are infused with goodness, featuring a blend of herb and fruit extracts and Community Fairtrade aloe vera to leave your skin naturally fragranced and soft.

The refreshing fragrances include: Lemon & Thyme - helping to uplift your spirits, brighten, cleanse, and tone oily skin; Mint & Cucumber - mint has amazing antiseptic properties while the cucumber cools and sooths; Fig & Rosemary - Figs are celebrated for their rich sweetness; Pear & Lemongrass - Abundant in vitamin C, pear juice extract soothes and rejuvinates skin and is recommended for its exfoliating and toning properties; Apricot & Basil - Apricot fruit extracts are ideal for softening, nourishing, moisturising, and regenerating skin while basil is used as a tonic to relieve fatigue, balance the mind and emotions, as well as improve and enhance the skin’s texture.
