Next Tuesday night in Moycullen sees Evergreen Healthfoods hosting a public talk on children’s nutrition. The talk entitled ‘Healthy Eating For Children’ takes place upstairs at The Forge Bar in Moycullen at 8pm and will support local children’s charity CD‘s Helping Hands.
Following on from the success of last month’s ’Pain and Inflammation…The Natural Approach’ talk, this month Evergreen are focusing on children. Nutritional therapist Heather Leeson of Positive Nutrition is giving the talk, and will focus on all aspects of children’s nutrition including tips on dealing with allergies, constipation, intolerances and the issue of fussy eaters.
Ms Leeson will also talk about what constitutes a healthy diet, helping parents to understand what foods to include and what to avoid. Focusing on the foods to include, Heather will also offer some practical, simple meal guidelines which may take some of the stress away from mealtimes.
Entrance on the night is €5, with all door proceeds going to CD’s Helping Hands, a local children’s charity who support families who have children’ undergoing cancer treatment.
