A charity mock wedding which takes place this St Valentine’s weekend aims to raise vital funds for a local cancer organisation.
Love will definitely be in the air at the Salthill Hotel on Saturday evening when Kevin Thornton weds Hannah Healy with all proceeds going to Cancer Care West.
The fun kicks off at 5pm with a champagne and canapé reception followed by a simulated ceremony and five course meal. The entertainment will include a magician, Steve Spade, Irish dance group Mystic Force and Galway Band, Kif.
Mandy Maher of Catwalk Model Agency will judge the Best Dressed man/woman on the night with prizes sponsored by Hartmann Jewellers, Demora Boutique and Hanley’s and Co.
The event is sold out, however those who wish to make a donation can do so by logging onto www.mycharity.ie/event/aisling_campbell/, where they will also find a link to the official Facebook Page and more information on this event.

Some 1,200 patients and their families availed of the services offered by a city based cancer support centre more than 5,500 times in the past year.
The Cancer Care West facility, which is based at 72 Seamus Quirke Road (opposite Westside Shopping Centre ), is open on a drop-in and appointment basis to people with cancer and their families from all over the west.
The state-of-the-art centre is one of the first facilities of its kind in the country offering vital psychological and emotional supports to people dealing with cancer.
The centre is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and all services are free. These range from psychological support and counselling to complementary therapies, benefits advice, writing, art and yoga.
