THE GALWAY Youth Intermediate Orchestra will give a “lively, interactive concert” on Sunday at 2pm in the St Patrick’s Band Hall.
The Galway Youth Orchestra was established in 1982 and performs a diverse range of music including classical symphonies and work by contemporary Irish and international composers.
GYO’s intermediate conductor, Joanne Cater, graduated with honours from the Colchester Institute of Music in 1996, where she studied under the direction of Duke Dobing. She has been living in Galway since 2000 and joined the orchestra in 2004.
