The Vaccines are Róisín Dubh bound

THERE IS a hell of a lot of fuss about London band The Vaccines at the moment and they are hotly tipped to be one of the breakthrough bands of 2011.

NME has listed the quartet - Arni Arnason (bass ), Freddie Cowan (guitar/vocals ), Pete Robertson (drums ), and Justin Young (vocals/guitar ) - as one of its About To Break Bands; The Irish Times has called them “addictive indie pop from a new London band with all the right attributes and angles to star in 2011”; while The Guardian declared the “Vaccines represent the knowing, artful end of a British guitar pop resurgence.”

Galway will be able to see what all the buzz is about when the band play the Róisín Dubh on Sunday March 27 at 9pm.

In the meantime keep an eye out for The Vaccines’ debut album, What Did You Expect From The Vaccines? which will be released on Friday March 18 on LP, CD and download.
