A SINGER, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and a mother of eight, she is Linda Welby and she plays the Town Hall Theatre on Monday February 7 at 8pm.
At the show, the broadcaster Donncha Ó Dulaing will be the MC and launch Linda’s new album The Best Of Times, the follow up to her debut A Story To Tell. The show will also raise funds for charity as The Irish Wheelchair Association will benefit both from tickets sold and the total raffle proceeds.
Born in Loughrea, but now living in Roscahill, Linda has enjoyed a fair amount of success since releasing her debut single ‘The Galway Fiddler’, which recieved airplay in Canada, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Africa, and Russia.
She has performed across Ireland, as well as in Texas, Nashville, and Toronto. One of the highlights of her career so far has been her meeting Pat Boone in LA.
“After spending time with her and listening to her music,” said Boone, “I can say Linda Welby is the genuine article. Everything about her is genuine. Her songs are lovely, emotional, melodic, and they spring from real life experience.”
