Fun and games for all as Carlton Hotel opens state of the art fitness facility

The Carlton Hotel on the Dublin Road will launch their new state-of-the-art fitness facility, Active Fitness and Leisure, this weekend with a weekend of health, fun and fitness.

Events kick off tomorrow Friday January 21, from 6pm to 9pm, with club members going head to head with Mervue United players to test the new, innovative Suunto Software available exclusively to Active Fitness and Leisure at the Carlton.

All are welcome to view out the new facility on the night – where expert nutritionists, massage therapists and trainers will be on hand to show the benefits of the new equipment. The gym and leisure club will be officially opened by Mayor of Galway, Councillor Mike Crowe at 7:30pm.

Celebrations continue for younger guests this Sunday, January 23, from 3pm to 5pm, where Galway GAA stars will be joined by members from the Connacht Rugby squad to meet fans along with face painters, clowns, Bob the Builder and more. Connacht’s loyal mascot, Eddie the Eagle, will be taking charge of a fun exercise class for children on the day.

The new Active Fitness and Leisure club has undergone a total refurbishment to all areas. Along with the installation of Suunto Software – an innovative performance indicator – the gym now boasts 50 pieces of top of the range cardiovascular and resistance equipment along with a state of the art aerobics studio, a luxurious 20 metre lifeguard attended swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

Membership rates have been reduced and family membership at Active Fitness and Leisure at the Carlton also includes three children. Make sure to look out for your €100 voucher in the paper this week.
