Irish Times critic to read at Over The Edge

THE IRISH Times critic John Kenny will be among the featured readers at the next Over The Edge reading in the Galway City Library, St Augustine Street, on Thursday October 30 at 6.30pm.

Mr Kenny teaches English literature at NUI, Galway and is director of the new BA Connect in creative writing there. He regularly reviews new fiction for The Irish Times, and his book on John Banville will be published in November..

Also reading will be Noel Harrington, whose poetry has been published in The Stinging Fly, Revival, and Crannóg; and Eamonn Harrigan, whose short story The Death of Foxy was short-listed for the Over the Edge New Writer of the Year competition 2008.

There will be an open-mic when the featured readers have finished. New readers are especially welcome.
