Gardai are appealing for witnesses in relation to a spate of burglaries which have occurred throughout the city over the last week.
A house in the Taylor’s Hill area was broken into on Tuesday, January 4, between the hours of 10.30am and 11pm. The culprit(s ) managed to get away with a number of items of gold jewellery.
A large quantity of gold jewellery was also taken during a break-in at a house in the Doughiska area of the city on Thursday, January 6. Among the items taken were a number of gold bangles and gold pendants. That same day a burglary occurred at a house in Rahoon where a black Fujitsu laptop and an Apple iPod were taken.
Anyone with information in relation to these burglaries or who has been offered any of the items mentioned for sale is asked to contact Galway gardai on 091 538000. In relation to the burglary in Doughiska on January 6 contact Oranmore Garda Station on 091 388030.
