The Galway Alliance Against War will screen John Pilger’s new film, The War You Don’t See, in Monroe’s, Dominick Street, this evening at 8pm.
In The War You Don’t See, Pilger, one of the world’s leading investigative journalists, chronicles the propaganda wars, spins, and deceptions, that lie behind many of the on-going wars across the world. The film includes interviews with journalists (both pro and anti war ), as well as with Wikileaks Julian Assange. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
The GAAW will also take part in the next Shannonwatch Vigil, this Sunday from 2pm to 3pm. A GAAW spokesperson said: “We invite you to join us at Shannon for one hour on Sunday to remember the men still illegally held in captivity in Guantanamo, and the ones who have died there.”
