The plastic bag wearing comedy duo, whose hilarious routines and satires on Irish history, Fianna Fáil TD Willie O’Dea, Limerick city, and boy racers, are on the verge of becoming the country’s next comedy phenomenon.
The duo’s new, and ridiculously catchy comedy single, ‘Horse Outside’ satirises and ridicules boy racers and all they stand for. The song has taken Irish Facebook pages by storm, with the link to its hilarious video appearing on numerous pages. See it at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljPFZrRD3J8
The song’s double entendres and blue language has upset the more hysterical segments of Irish society, who last week rang Joe Duffy in disgust. ‘Horse Outside’ is in contention to reach this year’s Christmas number one in the Irish charts and has sold 10,000 copies on iTunes already. The single’s video has received more than million hits on Youtube since it was launched.
The Rubberbandits have added an extra date to their Róisín Dubh show on Monday December 27. The 8.30pm performance is sold out, but tickets are now available for the 12 midnight performance from the Róisín Dubh and Zhivago.
