CHRIS O’DOWD, best known for playing Roy Trenneman in The IT Crowd, and his brother John O’Dowd, a Galway based actor, will both appear on Sky One this Christmas.
The west of Ireland brothers will appear in Capturing Santa, a short Christmas film which is part of Sky One’s ‘Little Crackers’ series to be broadcast throughout December.
The film also stars Sharon Horgan (Pulling ) and Clive Swift (Keeping Up Appearances ). It is directed by Peter Cattaneo, who also directed The Full Monty, and produced by Stephen Fry’s production company. See it on Sky One this Sunday at 9.15pm with a repeat at 10.45pm.
John also runs his own theatre company, Truewest, and it has a six week run of two plays by Mark O’Halloran (Adam and Paul and Garage ) - The Head of Red O’Brien and Mary Motorhead - in Bewleys lunchtime theatre, Dublin, from January 10 to February 19 at 1pm on Mondays to Saturdays.
