TWO OF Galway’s leading folk-rock acts - Niall Teague and The Fast Company and singer-songwriter Fia Rua - play Kelly’s this Monday at 8.30pm.
Fia Rua (aka Eoghan Burke ) released his second album Falling Time last month and it was praised by Hotpress as “a folking brilliant piece of work”. The title track has been played on national radio, while the online blog 2uibestow placed Falling Time in its Top 10 albums of the year list.
Niall Teague and The Fast Company (Padraic Joyce, Kelvin Busher, Avi Mula, Una MacLochlainn, and Maidhc Ó hEanigh ) play a style of music that lies somewhere between Irish folk and bluegrass.
The band released its debut album recently and it has been hailed as “simply sensational” by BBC Radio’s Phil Brown.
Admission is €5.
