Newly-crowned European professional boxing champion, Willie 'Big Bang' Casey, will be guest of honour at a boxing tournament in Galway on Saturday.
Organised by the Olympic Boxing Club, the tournament will feature a Galway amateur selection taking on their counterparts from Dublin at the Westside Boxing Gym at 5pm.
Willie Casey, who has rocketed up the professional ranks since turning pro, will attend the tournament to present trophies, while his son will also feature in an exhibition bout.
The Dublin team will feature several All-Ireland champions, and is trained by Philip Sutcliffe of Crumlin Boxing Club, who is regarded as one of the best coaches in the country.
The show is the annual fundraiser for the Olympic Boxing Club, which recently produced an All Ireland champion with Patrick J Ward claiming the All Ireland intermediate crown in commanding fashion.
Doors open at 5pm. Admission is €10.
