Go Over The Edge for poetry

A POET, a painter, and a voracious music fan read at Over The Edge in the Galway City Library, St Augustine Street, on Thursday, December 16 at 6.30pm.

Elaine Cosgrove has been a hippie, a metaller, and an indie kid, and this year she was shortlisted for the Fish Publishing One Page Story Prize and the Over the Edge New Writer of the Year Competition.

Edward Lee’s poems, short stories and photography have been published in The Shop, The Stinging Fly, and The Sunday Tribune.

He is also a visual artist and his new exhibition, Playing Poohsticks: Part One, is running in the Galway City Library until December 21. It consists of 15 paintings and the 15 poems from his book Playing PoohSticks On Ha’Penny Bridge.

Siobhán Campbell was shortlisted for the Michael Marks Award for her collection That Water Speaks in Tongues. She has won awards in the National Poetry Competition as well as in the Troubadour and Wigtown competitions. Her most recent poetery collection is Cross-Talk, published by Seren Press.
