Galwegians RFC has secured a sponsorship this season with Galway bitumen company Cold Chon becoming the new main sponsor for the 2010-11 season.
Based in Oranmore, Cold Chon is one the leading companies in the construction sector, manufacturing a range of bitumen products for road surfacing throughout Ireland.
The company’s chief executive officer John Killeen said his company had a long-standing relationship with Galwegians who played an important role in serving the needs of the local community.
Galwegians’ president Derrick Murphy also welcomed the announcement. “Clubs are the bedrock of Irish rugby, but without the support and goodwill of our sponsors we simply cannot survive.”
