Claregalway Leisure Centre is to receive a grant of €10,000 for repair works according to Galway West Fianna Fáil TD Frank Fahey.
Deputy Fahey said the centre has been looking for this grant for some time and that there has been “an obvious need to carry out the proposed repair work”.
He added that everyone involved in the leisure centre committee deserved “immense credit for the hard work” they have put in to secure this grant.
“They made a very strong case and I have no doubt this is what lead to the funding being provided,” he said. “Cllr Malachy Noone also deserves thanks for the work he put in on this issue and all the effort he made to deliver this funding.”
