Bishop Willie Walsh to speak on the issue of Hope at a prayer service in the Jes Church, Galway this weekend.
Bishop Walsh will speak at the Glórtha Dóchais event on the first Sunday in Advent, November 28 at 8pm in St. Ignatius church, Sea Road, Galway.
The retired Bishop of Killaloe,has been a supporter of the oppressed in society. He has been an outspoken critic of injustice and inertia in Ireland.
Bishop Willie Walsh was ordained in Rome, and taught for a year at Coláiste Éinde in Galway. He set up the Catholic Marriage Advisory Council (now Accord ) in 1970. He was ordained Bishop of Killaloe in 1994 and retired this year.
