Goya’s, Galway’s quintessential food café and bakery, is hosting a festive candlelight supper in aid of the Galway Rape Crisis Centre on Thursday December 2.
Beginning with a prosecco reception at 6.30pm, guests will be treated to a three course meal prepared by head chef Leroy Marshall using the finest local ingredients. A buffet style starter menu featuring Goya’s favourites such as chicken liver pate and hummus will be followed by a served hot main course.
Finishing the tasty meal will be a selection of delicious home made deserts and traditional Christmas cake baked by Emer Murray. Accompanying the supper will be two glasses of wine per person selected to match the food flavours.
Announcing the Festive Candlelight Supper, Emer Murray, Proprietor of Goya’s, said she was looking forward to transforming Goya’s to a festive wonderland for the very special evening supporting the Galway Rape Crisis Centre.
“We will be transforming Goya’s in keeping with the festive mood and we look forward to welcoming new and old friends to join us at Goya’s for what promises to be a wonderful occasion,” said Ms Murray.
Glyn Carragher, fundraising manager of the Galway Rape Crisis Centre, said he was delighted that Goya’s had chosen the GRCC as the benefactor of this evening.
“Christmas is a difficult time of the year for charities such as ourselves, and we are particularly indebted to Emer Murray and all at Goya’s for their very generous support,” said Mr Carragher.
Tickets at €20 are available from Goya’s on 091 567 010. As space is limited, tickets are on a first come first served basis and must be prepaid on booking.
