Everyman Gallery invites everyone in for a look

This Saturday (November 27 ) The Bridge Mills sees the opening of an exciting new art space shared by a group of dedicated artists.

The artists will not only exhibit and sell their art but will also provide a unique city centre creative venue where they plan to host throughout the year demonstrations, lectures, classes for adults and children in a wide variety of mediums.

It is what a city known for its passion for art badly needs, especially with the recent closure of two renowned city centre art galleries. Native Galwegians and visitors strongly feel it is time to revitalise the whole art scene in Galway and what better place than in one of Galway's finest historical buildings.

The Bridge Mills were sensitively restored by Frank Heneghan,a native Galway engineer back in 1988 and breathed new life into the derelict corn mill during another tough economic time.

He had the vision of the potential of this building and has spear headed this new project 21 years later feeling it is time for Galway to support our own local artists by organising a very affordable art space.
