THE BLUES Brothers, one of the best loved films of all time, will be shown in The Eye Cinema on Monday at 7pm.
By resurrecting their Blues Brothers Band for one big fundraising concert, the brothers (John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd ) hope to raise the €5,000 to save the local Catholic orphanage, which was also their childhood home.
On the way they get into many scrapes and adventures, getting to hang out with and sing alongside Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, and Cab Calloway.
The Blues Brothers is being screened to raise funds for the Access Music Project, which this year alone has supported 150 unemployed participants with skills and opportunities in music through its nationally accredited education programme.
The audience will be treated to a glass of wine after the show while musician Mouse McHugh and friends will play blues music.
Tickets are €15 are available from Access Music Project (091 - 533861 ), Maureen (087 - 2308860 ), and at The Eye on the night.
