Legendary Nomeansno to play Róisín Dubh

PUNK AND hardcore fans in Galway are in for a treat at the end of this month when the legendary Nomeansno and Pack a.d play the Róisín Dubh.

Nomeansno from Vancouver, Canada, have been going strong for nearly 30 years. Led by brothers Rob and John Wright, the group have always been challenging and exciting, fusing jazz, funk, metal, and avant garde with pure hardcore.

Their most famous album is 1989’s Wrong, described by Allmusic.com as “the definitive jazzcore album...the playing is incredibly skilled, with the Wright brothers effortlessly shifting tempos and time signatures”.

Also on the bill are fellow Vancouver band Pack a.d. The band’s latest album We Kill Computers is swaggering garage rock with a “real sound of beer-soaked basement shows and deer hooves scuttling across the interstate”.
