Tomorrow (Friday 12 ) is the official launch in The Bierhaus of the first annual Galway’s West End Beer and Wine Festival. Brought to you by Warsteiner Beer, this festival celebrates the vast variety of beer and wine that is available in Galway’s West End.
Warsteiner chose the west for this festival as the bars in this part of Galway have really embraced the range of beers that is available, as opposed to just offering the usual small selection of big brands. Bars like The Bierhaus, The Blue Note and The Salt House offer a huge variety of beers from around the world.
Cava has a selection of special offers for the event and for its Novem-beer month.
The participating bars and restaurants will have a wine list which will cater for every taste, with both Cava and Oscars being renowned for their wine selection.
As part of the celebrations, the venues of Galway’s West End are pulling in some big guns with Mary Coughlan playing The Crane on Thursday and Friday night, Preston Reed playing Roisin’s on Friday. Preston has been described by Total Guitar magazine as ‘the world’s most gifted guitarist’ Monroe’s Live has Ireland’s king of lounge music, Gerry Fish, playing with the Mudbug Club.
The full range of events for the festival will run from Thursday November 18 to Sunday 21 with entertainment in Bierhaus, Blue Note, The Crane, Massimo, Salt House, Roisin Dubh, Cava, Oscars, and Monroe’s Tavern and Live.
