Caroline Morahan, the face of Littlewoods Ireland, the online department store says you don’t need to dress like a “disco ball” to be in vogue this winter.
Try teaming a great pair of sparkling heels with drainpipe jeans or wearing a simple tunic or dress with a sprinkling of sequins, she advises.

She offers the following suggestions to wear this look:
Balance your bling: If you are wearing a statement piece, such as a metallic top or sequin jacket, make sure you wear plain pieces everywhere else. Think simplicity and keep your accessories to a minimum.
Accessories: If you’re taking baby steps towards being a more daring dresser, then a sequinned jacket will definitely be a stretch too far. Start off with something small like a fun pair of shoes or a sparkling clutch or a pretty hairband.
Beyond black: Although black sequins are a timeless favourite this season designers are thinking outside the box. Midnight blues, golds, pewter and bronze are all part of the palate. So, experiment and dare to be different.
