Family fun concert with Frank McNamara

FRANK MCNAMARA is best known to Irish audiences for being The Late Late Show musical director from 1979 to 1991, but he is a highly accomplished musician who has performed across the world.

Frank McNamara is a world class pianist who has conducted The Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, but he and his family are coming to the Town Hall Theatre on Friday November 19 at 8pm for a concert for Galway families.

At the show, Frank’s children - twins Frankie and Quincy (aged 14 ), will play guitar and piano and sing; while JJ, aged 11, is a gifted young pianist; and nine-year-old Charlotte will sing ‘Castles In The Clouds’ from Les Miserables.

Frank will play a number of well known classics, tell stories, and take questions from the audience. He will ‘hide’ well known tunes in classical pieces for the audience to guess out loud and win a prize.

He will also attempt to beat the world record of playing ‘The Flight of The Bumble Bee’ on piano, timed on stage by a member of the audience. Any budding musicians and young audience members who would like to play a piece will be invited to perform on stage.

Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 and www.tht.ie
