GALWAY SINGERS and choirs are being invited to take part in a singing workshop with the leading Irish choir Resurgam.
Resurgam director Mark Duley will also hold a workshop for Galway singers which takes place tomorrow at 8pm in St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church.
The workshop will explore the songs of the South African freedom movement, African rhythms and styles, and examine the biblical background to the sacred music in Resurgam’s repertoire. Participants will also get a chance to sing with Resurgam.
All music and materials will be supplied at the time of the workshop. No preparation is necessary. Participation is free of charge. Resurgam will also be in concert in Galway on Tuesday November 16 at 8pm in St Nicholas Collegiate Church.
