Claregalway’s Catherine Cullinan, who fights out of the Galway Black Dragon Kickboxing Club, has successfully defended her All Ireland title.
Travelling to Waterford to put her IKF All Ireland lightweight belt on the line, Cullinan faced challenger Chloe O' Brien in a mandatory first defence of her title.
Cullinan put O' Brien under pressure from the start and, landing some powerful right hooks, she forced a standing eight-count in the third round.
The fight went the full five rounds championship distance before Cullinan was awarded a unanamous victory by all three judges. Claregalway’s Catherine Cullinan, who fights out of the Galway Black Dragon Kickboxing Club, has successfully defended her All Ireland title.
