City rugby clubs enjoy home advantage

All Ireland League action resumes this weekend with two home fixtures for Galway city clubs. Galwegians host Dungannon in division 1b at Saturday (2.30pm ) hoping to make advantage count against the Ulster outfit.

Galwegians, who enjoyed a fine opening day win over UL Bohemians, lost at home to Clontarf last time out, and they will come up against a Dungannon side eager to get their first win of the season, having lost to UCC and UL Bohs.

Also in division 1B Buccaneers must travel to leaders Clontarf. Both sides have enjoyed great starts to the season and are unbeaten, but Clontarf, with an extra bonus point and with home advantage, will be a tough challenge for Buccaneers.

In division 2, Corinthians, also with one victory from their first two matches, will be eager to maintain their momentum when they host DLSP in Cloonacauneen (2.30pm ).

All Connacht v Leinster ticket holders, who must be wearing Connacht or Corinthian colours, will be admitted free.

Corinthians Supporters’ Club is providing tea and entertainment at half-time, free entry to a raffle for an Ipod decking system, and finger food in the clubhouse after the game.
