THE GALWAY Arts Centre Poetry Slam returns on Tuesday at 7pm, with MC Pete Mullineaux, at the centre on 47 Dominick Street.
Anyone can participate on the night and newcomers are welcome. There will also be an interactive words game and Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop voucher up for grabs.
To participate you need one poem/piece that will take three minutes to perform. Judges on the night will select their favourite and the winner will be a guest reader at the next slam and qualify for the Cúirt Grand Slam in April. The winner’s poem will be published on the Galway Arts Centre website along with a biography of the contestant.
Admission is free and wine will be provided.
