Social Inclusion Week 2010 takes place next week and it will be officially launched by the Mayor of Galway Michael J Crowe on Monday at 11.30am in City Hall.
The Social Inclusion Unit of Galway City Council has organised workshops, sports events, and cultural activities, that will take place from next Monday to Friday.
Events will include a city council/Brothers of Charity seminar entitled Living together in the Community; on Wednesday a range of short films and documentaries made in Galway on the theme of social inclusion, including a documentary made on the old Rahoon Flats, will be screened; on Thursday, a lunchtime roundtable discussion with councillors, community groups, and others working in the area of social inclusion will take place in the council chamber.
