The Central Park team, in association with West Coast Cooler, will host a fashion show fundraiser, Fashion Rocks, later this month in aid of the local charity Jigsaw. The show, which will feature a host of local retailers, aims to be the edgiest show of the season.
Taking place on Thursday October 14 with doors at 9.30pm, the show will kick off at 10pm sharp. This one of a kind fashion show brings together 12 of Galway’s leading stores to showcase their beautiful clothing.
Under the ultra professional Mandy Maher, the Catwalk Model agency will present fashions from A|wear, Born, Brown Thomas, French Connection, Origin, Public Romance, Tommy Hilfiger, Topshop, Uniform, Warehouse, and Zebra Not Just Black and White. Models’ hair for the event will be created by Bellissimo with make up provided for the night by Blush. There will be a vintage wear finale to the event, with stunning creations from Enchanted Vintage.
Music for the event will be provided by a live DJ and vocal act who have developed a set list specifically for the show.
“It is very fulfilling to work on this event for all of the team here,” said Paula Feeney, marketing manager at Central Park. “This fashion show is in aid of a very worthy cause. Jigsaw Galway is a free and confidential support service for young people [aged 15 to 25] living in Galway city and county. Jigsaw provides non-judgmental information, listening, guidance, and support for young people who are going through a difficult time.”
Tickets, priced €10 including admission to the after show party at the club, are selling fast from Zhivago on Shop Street, participating stores, and Central Park (091 ) 565976.
