JEFF O’CONNELL, the author and Galway Advertiser columnist, will give a series of six talks on poets and novelists in Johnston’s Hall, Kinvara.
Literature Matters: A Look at Six Poets and Novelists will take place on Tuesdays on October 5, 12, and 19, and November 2, 9, and 16 at 8.30pm. The poets will include Greek poet Constantine Cavafy; Welsh poet, playwright, and short story writer Dylan Thomas; and the later poetry of WB Yeats.
The novels include Russell Hoban’s post-apocalyptic parable Ridley Walker; Flannery O’Connor’s The Violent Bear It Away; and Flann O’Brien’s comic masterpiece The Third Policeman.
