GALWAY FILMGOERS will join with audiences in 203 cities across six continents to view and judge the next generation of filmmakers for the 12th Annual Manhattan Short Film Festival.
Ten short films, each lasting 15 minutes, will be screened as part of the festival and all the films will be shown at the Town Hall Theatre this Sunday at 3pm.
The films to be shown are The Pool by Irish director Thomas Hefferon, which was premiered earlier this year at the Galway Film Fleadh; Watching (Britain ), Push Bike (Australia ), Underground (Mexico ), Little Inconvenience (Canada ), Party (Croatia ), Echo (Poland ), Madagascar (France ), 12 Years (Germany ), and War (Italy ).
At the Town Hall, the public will be handed a voting card upon entry and asked to vote for the one film they feel should win. Votes are tallied at each participating cinema and submitted to festival headquarters where the winner will be announced in New York later that same night.
