Join Brendan McCarthy on the last leg of 1,000 run for breast cancer

A 1,000 mile run to rise funding and awareness in support of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute will conclude in Galway tomorrow.

Brendan McCarty lost his sister Tricia to breast cancer earlier this year. She was only 30. In honour of her memory he has set himself the challenge of running 1,000 miles in 50 days to rise funds for NBCRI.

Brendan finishes his challenge in Galway tomorrow when he will run the last leg. Starting from Blackrock at 3pm, he will run along the prom via Nile Lodge and St Mary’s Road to UCHG.

Brendan is asking anyone who might like to walk, jog, or run to join him at Blackrock and support him to the finish line at the front door of UCHG, around 4pm, where together with family and friends he will be greeted by Prof Michael Kerins, the medical director of NBCRI.
