Galway will be able to experience and enjoy the tastes, smells, and sounds of India at a special event in Cafe 8 at the Galway City Museum this Saturday.
Starting at 7.30pm there will be vegetarian buffet food followed by Indian sweets. From 8.30pm there will be several recitals of north Indian classical music by local musician, Mattu, on the sarode; Dublin based Dara O’Brien on the sitar; and Gurumukh from Limerick on tabla.
The evening will conclude in a ‘sarode and sitar conversation’ known as jugal bundi in the Indian tradition.
