Over The Edge poetry reading

THE SEPTEMBER Over The Edge: Open Reading takes place in the Galway City Library, St Augustine Street, on Thursday September 30 at 6.30pm.

Nicola Griffin grew up in Cheshire and now lives in Clare. She has a regular column in Inland Waterways News. Her poetry has been published in The Sunday Tribune, The Stinging Fly, and Crannóg.

Ailbhe Ní Ghearbhuigh was born in Kerry and has lived in France and New York. Her first collection, Péacadh, was published by Coiscéim in 2008. She has had poetry published in Crannóg and Poetry Ireland Review.

Corkonian Billy Ramsell co-runs an educational publishing company and his own writings have been shortlisted for a Hennessy and a Strong award. His first collection Complicated Pleasures was published by Dedalus Press in 2007.

The evening will also hear the announcement of the winners of this year’s Over The Edge New Writer of the Year competition by competition judge, James Martyn.
