A search and rescue mission initiated to search for a man who went missing from the Letterfrack area in Renvyle was called off yesterday after contact was made.
A major sea and land search was launched on Monday afternoon after a 27-year-old man went missing. The man had last been seen at his home in Letterfrack at around 1.45 on Sunday. Worried family members contacted gardai. The coastguard was brought in to search the coastal area around Renvyle, while local gardai led a ground search for the presumed missing man.
However the search was officially called off yesterday morning after the man made contact with his family.
