Busy times at John Quinn & Co with €2.6m sales

John Quinn & Co has reported a busy market in recent weeks and confirmed that more than €2.6m worth of property sales have taken place in the residential property market in a short space of time.

Sales have taken place in Coill Tire, Doughiska, where a three bedroom terraced residence was snapped up after barely a week on the market. A four bed semidetached house in Slí Na Sruthan on the Clybaun Road was sold along with a three bed terraced home in Ardilaun Road, a four bed detached in Seacrest, a four bed semi in River Oaks, Claregalway, a three bed semi in Shangort, a three bed in Tuam, a three bed semi in Ocean Wave, Salthill, a three bed semi in Laurel Park, Newcastle, and a three bed semi at Tirellan Heights. Another three bed semi was sold in Portacarron, Knocknacarra, along with a four bed semi in Belmont, Renmore.

According to John Quinn there is quite a lot of activity in the market at the moment with sale prices at a much lower level than in previous years. John Quinn said that vendors are being extremely realistic in the pricing of their houses and this was now paying dividends by way of many sales being expedited within a reasonable period of time. He said it was encouraging for both vendors and purchasers to see movement on both sides. However market conditions continue to be difficult with job insecurity and availability of loans significant factors.
