Intinn @ Monroe’s Live

REGGAE BAND Intinn are making waves at the moment, playing festivals and winning awards across Europe, but now they return home to play a special concert, for a very worthy cause.

Intinn, whose members come from Galway, Cork, and Dublin, were named Best New-comer Reggae Band at London’s One Love Reggae Festival on August 8. They also won second place in the European wide reggae competition at the Sunsplash Festival in Barcelona in late August.

The five-piece band blend reggae, dub, and drum’n’bass, with a Celtic twist. Armed with electronic drums, synthesisers, and traditional Irish harp, Intinn’s sound is energetic and bass heavy.

Intinn will perform at Monroe’s Live on Saturday at 9pm in a special fundraiser in aid of the Willow Fund, a trust fund established for the three-year-old Willow whose mother was tragically killed last year.

Tickets are available from Monroe’s and Zhivago Records. For more information contact Monroe’s on 091 - 583397 or 087 - 9783245.
