Beatles, reggae, and country @ Monroe’s Live

ALL KINDS of music will be heard in Monroe’s Live over the next month from 1960s pop, to country, reggae, and rock.

Tomorrow sees the Beatles tribute act Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band perform a set of classic songs by the Fab Four. A splendid time is guaranteed for all. On Saturday covers band The Zoot-Allures will take to the stage.

On Friday September 10 Seven Days will play. The band released their first single ‘Outside’ earlier this year and have recently been working with Greg Haver, who has produced albums for the Manic Street Preachers, Super Furry Animals, and Bullet for My Valentine.

Irish reggae and dub band Intinn will play on Saturday 11 in a special fundraiser in aid of the Willow Fund, a trust fund established for three-year-old toddler Willow whose mother died tragically last year.

On Thursday 16 it’s the country’n’Irish stylings of Crystal Swing. Then on Friday 17, as part of the Galway Americana Festival, there will be stand-up comedy from Jon Kenny followed by blues, roots, and country-rock from Athenry’s brilliant The Deans.

After that it’s The Lolly-gaggers on Saturday 18, The Wondertones on Friday 24, and Gorilla Radio on Saturday 25.
