HE WAS the quiffed, denim clad’, jerky leg rock’n’roll revivalist who was behind the ‘Green Door’, in ‘This Ol’ House’, and a major pop star of the 1980s.
He was and is Shakin’ Stevens and now the Welshman is coming to the Royal Theatre Castlebar on Friday October 8 as part of his 30th anniversary tour, marking his first hit single, ‘Hot Dog’, which was released in 1980.
For the show, Stevens will be accompanied by a 10 strong band and will perform new arrangements of his hits. He remains Britain’s 16th highest selling artist and one of its most popular singers of the past 30 years.
