IN THE 1960s TV series Batman was ‘The Caped Crusader’, but in the much darker films of more recent years, he is ‘The Dark Knight’.
The Eye Cinema in Wellpark will celebrating the release of The Dark Knight with a host of batman themed activities for children on Saturday and Sunday with ‘bat’ facepainting and bat mask making.
The Dark Knight is the title of the new Batman film starring Christian Bale as Batman and the late Heath Ledger as The Joker, as well as Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Aaron Eckhart. It is directed by Christopher Nolan.
With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman has been making headway against local crime, until a rising criminal mastermind known simply as The Joker unleashes a fresh reign of chaos across Gotham City.
