Electric Merchants opens first Galway branch

Electric Merchants, Ireland’s newest Electrical wholesaler has just opened its first Galway branch at Briarhill Business Park in Ballybrit. The opening has created two new jobs with a further two planned and is one of 12 such outlets currently being opened nationwide. The Galway branch is located inside the existing Heat Merchants outlet, a sister company.

Speaking about the opening, supervisor Paul McDermott said Electric Merchants has made a significant investment in the new branch.

“We aim to offer the best personal service in town, with a positive, professional and friendly approach.

“We are delighted to be the first branch to open in the Galway region and are working to give our new customers the best products possible and the best available price,” he said.

Electric Merchants is part of Wolseley Ireland, which owns Heat Merchants, Brooks Group, Tubs & Tiles and Brandon Hire.

It is one of Ireland’s fastest growing electrical distributors, offering a portfolio of electrical products and bespoke service solutions, to all levels of electrical contractors and industrial maintenance staff.

On the products and services offered at the new branch, Paul said that their products suit all electrical contractors with ranges of cable and wiring accessories, sundries, circuit protection and industrial lighting to emergency lighting, fire and security, all under the one roof.

“Our overall goal is to provide a one-stop shop solution for the electrical and construction sector,” he said.

The new branch is open Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 5.00pm; Friday 7.30 am to 4.30pm and from 9am to 1pm on Saturdays.
