“An eyesore for visitors” and “an embarrassment to the city” is how Fine Gael councillor Pádraig Conneely has branded the Coolough Roundabout.
The Coolough Roundabout is located in Doughiska and is one of the main entrance points into the city for visitors.
However Cllr Conneely accused the Galway City Council of neglecting to maintain the roundabout, and as a result it gives visitors a very bad first impression of the city.
“The roundabout is in an appalling state,” he said. “It is unsightly and overgrown like a bog.”
